Rich materials and exquisite design
The stainless steel model is paired with an exquisite smoked blue “Tapisserie” plaid dial, reminiscent of other watches in the Royal Oak series. The artistic sunburst pattern radiates from the flying tourbillon frame at 6 o’clock. The vibrant blue hue gives the flying tourbillon more depth and at the same time acts as an elegant background for the platinum hour markers and hands.
The all-titanium model presents an innovative dial design. The elegant sandblasted gray dial with snail-shaped decorations replaces the iconic “Tapisserie” pattern of the Royal Oak series. The gray tone of the dial, platinum hour markers and hands cleverly echo the rotating flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock.
The 18K rose gold model provides a contemporary contrast look. The smoky ash sunburst “Tapisserie” dial is decorated with rose gold hour markers and hands, which complements the rose gold case and bracelet. The flying tourbillon frame adds subtle luster to the entire rose gold fine watches.
Whether stainless steel, titanium, or 18K rose gold models, the case and bracelet are hand-finished with the brand’s iconic satin brushed and polished chamfers, presenting a wonderful effect of matte and polished alternately.
24K Gold LOGO
The new Royal Oak Automatic Flying Tourbillon watch is decorated with 24K gold Audemars Piguet LOGO, setting a precedent for the Royal Oak series. Each letter is accumulated layer by layer of 24K solid gold and is made by chemical electroplating deposition process. The letters and the letters are connected by invisible thin lines, and then fixed on the plate with tiny prongs. This LOGO was originally developed to decorate the glossy lacquered dials of the Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 series watches.
The latest generation flying tourbillon
The new watch is driven by the Calibre 2950 movement, which was released in 2019, combined with a flying tourbillon and a central oscillating weight, it is the brand’s latest generation of self-winding movement. It is worth mentioning that Audemars Piguet’s first flying tourbillon watch was unveiled in the Royal Oak Concept Series in 2018.
Through the dial or case back, the hand-finished tourbillon frame provides a perfect perspective for admiring the watch speed components. The case back also shows the exquisite decoration of the movement, including Geneva pattern, satin matte, snail pattern, hand-polished chamfer, and specially hollowed rose gold or rhodium rose gold oscillating weight.
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak automatic winding flying tourbillon watch has both the inside and the outside. The outside and inside are the same, blending modern design with ancient craftsmanship.
