New Rolex Oyster Perpetual Spaceship Daytona
Rolex is launching three new versions of its oyster permanent COSTONGRAPH DAYTONA, which are 18 CT yellow, white or everose gold.
These versions are mounted on the innovative Oysterflex bracelet, which has an elastomer reinforced with a metal blade and is equipped with a black Rolex (Rolex) patented Cerachrom monolithic bezel and black ceramic. This latest development combines the perfect fusion of high-tech and fashionable aesthetics, and pays tribute to the tradition of this legendary chronograph. The black baffle is reminiscent of the 1965 model, which is equipped with a black plexiglass baffle insert. Like all Rolex watches, these new cosmograph-type Daytona versions are certified as the highest chronometer redefined by Rolex in 2015, ensuring extraordinary performance on the wrist.
CERACHROM BEZEL and measurement speed
The Oyster Perpetual Cosmic Timepiece Daytona was founded by Rolex in 1963 and is a natural racing watch. Due to its reliability and performance, it has established an extraordinary record in the field of motorsports. The key part of the model identification is the bezel engraved with a tachometer scale, used to measure the average speed of 400 units per hour at a maximum speed. The one-piece Cerachrom frame made of high-tech ceramics has many advantages: corrosion resistance, almost scratch resistance, and the color is not affected by ultraviolet rays. The monolithic Cerachrom frame is made into one body, and the crystal is firmly fixed on the middle shell to ensure water resistance.
Oyster case, a symbol of water resistance
The Oyster case of the Cosmograph Daytona is guaranteed to be water resistant to a depth of 100 meters (330 feet) and is a model of robustness, proportion and elegance. Its uniquely shaped middle shell is made of strong 18 ct gold. The grooved back cover is sealed by a special tool and is only allowed to be used by luxury Rolex watchmakers. The winding crown-equipped with Triplock triple waterproof-anti-counterfeiting system-and the chronograph button are firmly screwed on the case. Its crown guard is an integral part of the middle case. The crystal is made of sapphire which is almost scratch-resistant. The Oyster waterproof case provides the best protection for the Cosmograph Daytona’s high-precision movement.
Permanent movement 4130
Cosmograph Daytona is equipped with 4130 movement, which is a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement fully developed and manufactured by Rolex. Its structure is a synthesis of Rolex technology and has been completely redesigned: the number of components for the chronograph function is greatly reduced, thereby increasing the reliability of the movement.
Oyster bracelet and safety clasp
The new Cosmograph Daytona version is installed on the Oysterflex bracelet developed and patented by Rolex. This technical bracelet combines the robustness and reliability of a metal bracelet with the flexibility, comfort and beauty of an elastomer strap in a unique way.
The Oysterflex bracelet is also equipped with 18 ct yellow gold, white or Everose gold Oysterlock safety clasp to prevent accidental opening. It is equipped with Rolex’s unique replica Rolex patented Easylink rapid extension system, allowing the wearer to easily increase the bracelet length by about 5 mm, thereby providing additional comfort in any situation.
