EL PRIMERO explores its wild side with CHRONOMASTER REVIVAL SAFARI
When Zenith’s designers wanted to know what El Primero in 1969 would look like when inspired by outdoor activities, they envisioned something completely different from the products made more than 50 years since the introduction of the famous movement. The same functionality and ergonomic design as the most sought after chronograph, evokes the bright colors and textures found in the wild. The result is called Chronomaster Revival Safari, which is a gorgeous reinterpretation of the iconic vintage chronograph.
The dial of the Chronomaster Revival Safari model presents a variety of tones from dark olive green to cool spruce tones, dark matte green with contrasting black counters and tachymeter scales, and a retro-style touch. Beige Super-LumiNova Warm ToneĀ® is on the baton applique and hand. The date dial with white numbers on a green background blends perfectly with the rest of the dial: so it is readable when you need it, but not distracting. The rubber and Cordura strap adopts the same khaki green hue as the dial, and is equipped with a matt micro-sprayed titanium pin buckle.
This retro-inspired but absolutely modern and avant-garde chronograph is powered by the high-frequency automatic chronograph El Primero movement, which can be seen through the hollow case back. Production began in 1969 and has evolved over the years. This is the closest interpretation of the original version of the flagship chronograph movement. The Chronomaster Revival Safari timepiece is ready to go where El Primero has never been before. It will be available in stores and Zenith’s official online store in June 2021.
