Corum Admiral Legend 42 watch
Although Corum’s Bridge series has done some interesting work over the years, Admiral’s Cup marks the brand’s most powerful and well-known design language. In 2016, Corum released the Corum Admiral Legend 42 Auto and Admiral Legend 42 Chronograph watches, which contrast well with some of the more unusual watches such as the Bubble watch relaunched last year. We have four interesting watches to introduce here, let’s get started.
First, we have two Corum Admiral Legend 42 Auto models. Soon, you will notice the iconic 12-sided border on these stainless steel parts, measuring 42 mm. You can choose a dark blue or white dial with a double anti-reflective treatment on the sapphire crystal. The overall waterproof rating of the case is 50m. We originally hoped that this watch could be a little bit more for people who like to be near the water.
The dial is decorated with colorful nautical flags, bringing a beautiful halo to the desktop, and perfectly blending with the theme of the watches cheap-at 3 o’clock, an inconspicuous date window is hidden in one of the flags. The rhodium-plated Crown Princess hands are hollowed out and treated with Super-LumiNova, and there is a small second hand just above 6 o’clock. Sapphire crystal is used on the back of the case to show off the movement here. The Corum Admiral Legend 42 Auto is powered by CO 395 and can provide a 42-hour power reserve. CO 395 is indeed the basic ETA 2895, and Corum watches carved the rotor on this occasion.
Corum Admiral Legend 42 Chronographs maintain the size of 42 mm, but include a stainless steel model, while launching another similar version, equipped with 18k red gold bezel, crown and buttons to increase the grade. The stainless steel model is equipped with a rich blue dial, while the red gold model has a simple black background, each showing the time, date and chronograph dial. The date window of these variants is not integrated into the dial and the three-hand version, so you will not miss its position between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock. The chronograph reduces the water resistance level to 30 meters and maintains the sapphire crystal back cover. The movement shown is the CO 984 with a frequency of 4Hz (28,000vph) and a power reserve of 42 hours.
Corum Admiral Legend 42 Chronographs certainly stand out for their elegance and elegance, but what really caught my eye was the simplicity of the Corum Admiral Legend 42 Auto model. Corum found its own progress in sticking to the nautical theme, and these models illustrate this perfectly. Although definitely not as complicated or sophisticated as the Grand Deck of Athens, the Corum Admiral Legend 42 Auto provides a reliable choice for people who like marine-themed watches and don’t mind a little extra color in the palette.
